A Letter for Every Christian

Romans 1:15

How can we avoid proclaiming a diluted gospel? What if we revisited a letter that held the key to the true gospel message, a letter that even ordinary Christians could understand and live by?

This letter is none other than Romans, the gospel of the New Testament church. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s just for theologian experts; it carries a powerful message for everyone.

In fact, it contains the gospel by which all were saved. Perhaps it’s time for the church today to revisit Romans frequently and ensure we don’t dilute the message we proclaim.

When it comes to measuring a preacher’s faithfulness to the gospel, Romans is the plumbline standard. It allows us to gauge if they are preaching a false gospel, a cheap imitation, or a half-hearted version. The gospel is the central theme woven throughout this book, and it’s crucial for us to grasp its significance.

In Romans 1:15, Paul expresses his eagerness to preach the gospel to the believers in Rome.,So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.”

Unfortunately, circumstances prevented him from physically reaching the city, so he poured his heart into this letter instead. His intention was to provide a clear explanation of the gospel message, ensuring the Romans would comprehend its depth and live according to its truths.
