Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before you with a heart full of gratitude and love, echoing the words of Philippians 2:1-2:
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.”
Lord, I thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself for our sake.
“And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”
Father, I pray that you would help me to have the same humble and selfless attitude that Christ displayed.
Teach me to put others before myself, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Lord, forgive me for the times when I have fallen short of this ideal, for the times when I have been selfish or prideful.
I ask for your grace and strength to live a life that honors you and reflects the love and humility of Christ.
As I continue to walk in faith, may I shine as a light in this world, holding fast to the word of life, “among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.”
Thank you, Lord, for the guidance and wisdom found in your Word.
I pray that I may always strive to live a life that brings glory to your name and reflects the love of Christ to those around me.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
