Dear Heavenly Father,
As I come before you in this quiet moment before bed, I am reminded of your loving presence, and I am filled with gratitude for your comforting words.
Your Word tells me that you are close to the brokenhearted and that you save those who are crushed in spirit. Tonight, Lord, I bring my broken heart to you.
I know that you are the one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
In my sadness and sorrow, I find complete peace in the promise of your healing touch, knowing that you understand my pain and are there to mend the pieces of my heart.
Your Son, Jesus, taught us that blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Tonight, I seek your comfort, Lord, as I mourn the challenges and sorrows in my life.
I trust that you will bring me the peace I so desperately need.
I thank you, God, for being the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.
You comfort us in all our troubles, and I find reassurance in knowing that I can turn to you in my time of need.
I pray that you would wrap your loving arms around me tonight, soothing my troubled spirit with your unwavering love.
As I lay my head down to rest, I ask for your strength to face tomorrow, for I know that your promises are true and that your love is steadfast.
May your presence be felt in the quiet of the night, and may your peace envelop my weary soul.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
