Romans 8:30–31
Do you ever wonder what it truly means to be a Christian?
It’s not just a title; it’s your identity.
You see, a Christian is someone who’s not only adopted into the family of God but also born again. And here’s the importance of this information — if you’re one of us who understands this, you’re destined for glory. That’s a reason to rejoice like there’s no tomorrow.
In the book of Romans, the wise Paul drops some wisdom on us, saying, “and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?” (Romans 8:30–31).
Now, Paul is essentially telling us that if you’ve been predestined, then you’re on the path to glory. And how do you know if you’ve been predestined? Well, it’s when you get that divine call from the God.
Remember, no one fully grasps the predestined path until the Lord reached out to you. The very moment I confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior, that’s when I knew I was set for glory.
It’s like that old hymn says:
“Just a closer walk with Thee, Grant it, Jesus, is my plea, Daily walking close to Thee, Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.”
This hymn beautifully resonates with the idea that our faith journey is a continuous quest for a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.
As we seek this closeness and walk hand in hand with our Savior, we find the strength and joy to face whatever challenges or blessings lie ahead.
It becomes a heartfelt plea for guidance, assurance, and an unwavering commitment to the path of faith, echoing the sentiment that with God as our constant companion, we can walk boldly into our destined glory.
With God on your side, there is no force or obstacle that can oppose you. So, isn’t it time to dispel your fears and begin rejoicing in the remarkable journey that lies ahead?
