Finding Rest in the Arms of Jesus (Matthew 11:28–30)

Gracious Lord,

I’m worn out, burdened with worries and troubles that seem too heavy to bear.

But I remember Your words, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

So here I am, Lord, coming to You, desperate for the rest only You can provide.

You promised, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Teach me Your ways, Lord. Help me to walk beside You, to learn from You, for Your yoke is easy, and Your burden is light.

I need that lightness, Lord. I need to feel Your presence, Your comfort. I need Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Your word says, “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Help me to trust in that, Jesus.

I surrender my worries, my fears, my burdens to You, Lord. I lay them at Your feet, knowing You are with me.

Help me to find refuge in You, to find strength in Your love.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your promise of rest. Thank You for being my refuge, my strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble.

In Your name, I pray.

Amen
