A Nighttime Prayer: Matt. 11:28

Eternal and Merciful God,

As I lay down to rest my weary body and close my eyes,

I come before You in humble gratitude and heartfelt devotion.

Your words from Matthew 11:28 remind me of Your unwavering love and the comfort that only You can provide.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Lord, I am tired.

The challenges and worries of this day have left me feeling burdened.

But in Your infinite grace, You offer me a place of refuge, a sanctuary of peace within Your arms.

I thank You, dear God, for the promise of rest that You extend to me.

I recognize that You understand the depths of my struggles, and You invite me to lay down my burdens at Your feet.

Your embrace is a safe haven where I can find peace from the chaos of life.

Tonight, I surrender my concerns to You.

I place my anxieties, my fears, and my uncertainties into Your loving hands.

Help me release these burdens, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for me are filled with hope.

As I drift into sleep, I am reminded of Your enduring love.

Your love has carried me through countless days, and I am reassured that it will continue to sustain me in the days to come.

In this moment, I feel Your presence enveloping me, like a warm blanket of peace.

Your gentle voice whispers in my heart, soothing my soul and reminding me of Your promises.

I am comforted by Your constant companionship and overwhelmed by the depth of Your love.

As I close my eyes and surrender to sleep, I trust that You will watch over me, guiding my dreams and refreshing my spirit.

May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

In the precious name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.
