Dear Heavenly Father,
As I kneel before You tonight, I am filled with gratitude for your boundless love, a love so beautifully described in 1 John 3:1:
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
Lord, I am humbled by the privilege of being called your child.
Your love surrounds me like a warm embrace, bringing peace to my heart as I prepare to rest.
Thank you for your unwavering love that never fails, a love that is steadfast.
“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.”
Tonight, I come before you with a repentant heart, acknowledging my shortcomings and seeking your forgiveness.
Help me, dear Lord, to live a life that aligns with your will, to walk in the light of your truth.
Your word reminds me: “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
Father, grant me the strength to love my neighbors as you have loved me.
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”
I pray for the wisdom to discern between good and evil, to follow the path of righteousness.
“This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.”
Lord, may your love shine brightly through me, touching the lives of those around me.
Help me to show compassion and kindness.
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence.”
As I lay down to rest, I surrender my cares and concerns to you, trusting in your divine plan.
Fill me with your peace.
“The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.”
Thank you, Father, for your love, your guidance, and your presence in my life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
