Prayer Based on Luke 11
My dearest Father,
I come to you today as a child comes to a loving parent. I need your guidance and strength. I am feeling lost and alone.
Luke 11:9 says, “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Father, I am asking you to guide me on the right path. I am seeking your wisdom and guidance. I am knocking on the door of your heart, asking for your love and acceptance.
I know that I am not perfect. I have made mistakes. But I am trying to be a better person. I want to follow your will and live a life that is pleasing to you.
Luke 11:13 says, “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Father, I am asking for your Holy Spirit to guide me and help me to grow in my faith. I want to be more like you. I want to love others the way that you love me.
I know that I can do nothing without you. I am weak and frail. But you are strong and mighty. I trust in you to help me through every challenge and difficulty.
Luke 11:11 says, “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?”
Father, I know that you would never give me anything that is harmful or destructive. You are a good and loving God. You want the best for me.
I trust in your goodness and mercy. I know that you will answer my prayers.
Thank you, Father, for your love and grace.
Thank you for hearing my prayer.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
