Dear Jesus,
My heart finds peace in Your words. Your presence brings me such comfort and assurance.
“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”
Jesus, in You, there is no darkness. Your light fills me with hope and drives away my fears.
“If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.”
I know there have been times I’ve walked away from Your light, trying to hide in the shadows.
Forgive me, Jesus, for those moments. I want to live in Your truth and stay close to You.
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
I want to walk in Your light, Jesus. Let me feel the warmth of Your love and the purity of Your presence.
Thank You for shedding Your blood to cleanse me from all my sins.
“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.”
Jesus, I can’t hide anything from You. You see all my flaws and failures. I need Your truth in my life.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
I confess my sins.
I lay them down at Your feet, trusting in Your promise to forgive me.
You are so faithful, Jesus, and I believe in Your power to purify me completely.
“If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”
I know I’ve sinned, and I don’t want to deny it.
Let Your word live in my heart, guiding me and shaping me into the person You want me to be.
Thank You, Jesus, for holding me close and for Your endless love and forgiveness.
Thank You for being the light in my life, dispelling all darkness. I trust in Your promises and rest in Your embrace.
In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.
