Train Up a Child: A Prayer for Parents (Proverbs 22:6)

Dear God,

I come to You today with a heart full of love and care for my children. Thank You for the gift they are in my life. Please guide me as I raise them.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Help me to teach my children well, to show them Your ways, and to trust that the lessons I teach will stay with them always.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”

Thank You for this blessing. Help me to cherish my children and see them as the precious gifts they are.

Lord, I need Your help to bring up my children in a loving and godly way. “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

Please give me patience and wisdom to discipline with love and teach them about You.

“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

Help me to talk about You with my children in our daily lives, making Your teachings a natural part of our day.

“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

Lord, I ask that You teach my children and fill them with Your peace. Let them know You and Your love deeply.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Lord, my greatest wish is for my children to walk in Your truth. Guide them, protect them, and let them feel Your presence every day.

Thank You, Jesus, for always being with me and my children. I trust in Your guidance and love. Amen.
